[the Mission]
At In The Zone Coaching, we help athletes and coaches master the mental game so clutch performance shows up when it matters most.
We combine elite coaching with cutting-edge AI performance tech to make mental training practical, daily, and game-ready.
Our goal is simple: to train the next generation of calm, confident, and clutch performers. Athletes and leaders who thrive under pressure and redefine what’s possible when they’re in the zone.

Alain Cormier
Founder
Mental Performance Coach
ITZ Head of Golf
Alain’s work in mental performance began with his own experience as a competitive athlete who consistently played below his potential when the pressure was highest despite strong preparation and ability.
Over time, he came to see that performance breakdowns weren’t a lack of skill, desire, or effort, but a lack of access to the internal state that allows the body to perform freely under pressure.
Through years of study and coaching in performance psychology and human potential, Alain realized that confidence, focus, and flow are not personality traits, they are trainable skills.
He founded In The Zone Coaching to bring this work back into sport through a practical, repeatable system that helps athletes and coaches perform at their best when it matters most.
Today, Alain leads the philosophy and framework behind ITZ, supporting elite coaches and athletes across sports.
PA Parenteau
Mental Performance Coach
ITZ Head of Hockey
PA’s approach to mental performance is shaped by his own journey through professional hockey. While proud of his career, he recognizes how much difference the right guidance could have made. Especially during the early years spent grinding in the minors, managing pressure, fatigue, and doubt largely on his own.
Through reflection and coaching work after his playing career, PA came to understand how unaddressed patterns, often rooted earlier in life, can quietly limit confidence, resilience, and consistency under pressure.
Today, his work focuses on helping hockey players build awareness, emotional stability, and mental strength alongside their on-ice development. He is especially passionate about supporting young athletes so they don’t have to navigate the same challenges alone.
As Head of Hockey at In The Zone Coaching, PA brings a grounded, experience-driven perspective to the ITZ philosophy, supporting athletes and coaches with a sustainable, long-term approach to performance and well-being.
